Zeitung Heute : Hello!

On behalf of the International Paralympic Committee (IPC), it is a pleasure to see the Paralympics Zeitung return to the Paralympic audience in Germany. This publication has been following the Paralympic Games since Athens in 2004, and now at the Vancouver 2010 Paralympic Winter Games, it will be providing an exciting and unique look into the biggest event in Paralympic Winter Sport!

In my role as President of the IPC, I have been part of the preparation for the Vancouver 2010 Paralympic Winter Games, and I am thrilled to see what our athletes will bring to their respective competitions. A total of around 530 athletes from 44 different countries are aiming to put their fully-trained skills to the test. Just as the Beijing 2008 Paralympic Games saw numerous records broken on and off the field of play, these Games will be no different.

Our athletes are now ready to show you the spirit in breaking boundaries and excelling in sport. It is also your chance to become a true fan of Paralympic Sport, discovering the Paralympic values of Courage, Determination, Inspiration and Equality.

I hope you enjoy the Paralympics Zeitung!
